Holy Avtar Vani - Shabad No. 327
Gursikh nun jan gursikh mildai vekh ke chaa charh jande ne;
Ek dooje de pairan utte neon neon sees jhukande ne.
Eho chaal hai bhagtan wali eho hi gursukhi ey;
Eho hi hai valon nikki eho khandyon tikkhi ey.
Jis gursikh nun nivna bhulle utthe guru khalona nahin;
Kahe avtar eho jahe sikh de naal guru ne hona nahin.
Meaning
A disciple who doesn't have humble and sweet attitude, True Master doesn't take care of that being. As one disciple of the True Master meets another disciple, they get happy with joy. They bow their heads at each other's feet. This is the tradition of the devotees and this is true discipleship.This is what is more delicate than a hair and sharper than a dagger. So its important to understand that a loving heart and softness in speech is always important. Here Baba Avtar Singh ji says, the True Master shall not be with the disciple who forgets the lesson of humility.
